An international freestyle wrestling tournament was held in Vladikavkaz, Russia, on October 10-11, in honour of Olympic champion David Musulbes.

According to Offsideplus.az, over 300 athletes from 15 countries competed in this traditional event for wrestlers under 15 years old (U15).

Under the guidance of U15 national team head coach Emin Azizov and coach Elshad Allahverdiyev, two of our representatives climbed to the highest step of the podium:

Elvin Necefzade (85 kg) won a gold medal, defeating all his opponents with complete dominance.

Javanshir Suleymanov (44 kg), a European medalist, repeated this success by becoming the champion of the tournament.

It is noteworthy that our country was represented at the international tournament by third-category international referee Nihad Muradov, who served among the officials ensuring fair play.
