From October 12 to 18, 23 wrestlers will represent Azerbaijan at the U-23 World Championship in Las Vegas, USA.
According to Offsideplus.az, our Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete in the early days of the tournament. The team, led by head coach Nureddin Rajabov and Rovshan Bayramov, includes Farid Sadikhly (55 kg), Elmir Aliyev (60 kg), Aykhan Javadov (63 kg), Mohammad Shukurzadah (67 kg), Farid Khalilov (72 kg), Ruslan Nurullayev (77 kg), Elmin Aliyev (82 kg), Orkhan Hajiyev (87 kg), Ismayil Rzayev (97 kg), and Mezaim Mardanov (130 kg).
Following this, the women's team, under the guidance of head coach Togrul Asgarov, will feature Nargiz Samadova (53 kg), Gultekin Shirnova (55 kg), and Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg).
Finally, the freestyle wrestlers, coached by Jabrail Hasanov, Taymuraz Salkazanov, and Sharif Sharifov, will compete for the championship with Vasif Baghirov (57 kg), Ceyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg), Musa Agayev (65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg), Aganazar Novruzov (74 kg), Elcan Ismayilzade (79 kg), Sabuhi Amirzade (86 kg), Anar Jafarli (92 kg), Zafar Aliyev (97 kg), and Khetag Karsanov (125 kg).
The daytime sessions of the matches will start at 21:30 Baku time, while the evening sessions will begin at 04:45.
Our country will be represented by referees Bashir Isazade and Ali Babayev at the championship.
