The Azerbaijani national team in freestyle wrestling has commenced a training camp at the Quba Olympic Sports Complex.

According to Offsideplus.az, the preparation process, which began on October 11, will last for two weeks.

Under the guidance of head coach Khetag Gazyumov and coach Arif Abdullayev, the team is preparing for the World Championship, which will take place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from October 24 to November 1. The focus of the camp is on enhancing tactics, techniques, physical strength, and endurance.

In addition to the main squad, 12 members of the U20 national team have also been included to improve the quality of sparring.

It is noteworthy that the freestyle wrestling competitions at the World Championship will be held from October 29 to November 1.
