On the final day of the World Judo Championships for seniors held in Baku, the Azerbaijan team faced Japan in the mixed team event.

According to Offsideplus.az, our team, which met its opponent in the Round of 16, lost with a score of 1:4.

As a result, the team was eliminated from the competition earlier than expected.

Our judokas had previously secured a victory against Austria in the Round of 32, winning 4:0.

The women's team included Gultac Mammadaliyeva and Khadija Qadesova (both 57 kg), Sudaba Agayeva and Hanna Zaytseva (both 70 kg), and Madina Kaisinova (+70 kg).

The men's team featured Rashid Mammadaliyev and Ruslan Pashayev (both 73 kg), Zelim Tskayev and Suleyman Shukurov (both 90 kg), as well as Zelim Kotsoyev and Ushangi Kokauri (both +90 kg).

On the eighth day of the competition, held at the National Gymnastics Arena, 192 judokas from 18 countries participated in the team event.
