The Judo World Championship held in Baku has been marked by further medals for the Azerbaijani national team.
According to Offsideplus.az, Ushangi Kokauri, competing in the +100 kg weight category, secured a silver medal at the tournament. Our judoka reached the decisive match but lost to Russia's Inal Tasoyev, finishing in second place on the podium.
In the same weight category, another representative, Kenan Nasibov, faced his teammate Jamal Gamzatkhanov in the bronze medal match. Nasibov emerged victorious in the Azerbaijani derby, claiming the bronze medal at the World Championship.
The championship, taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena, will conclude on October 11.
It is worth noting that earlier, our representatives Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) won gold, Zelim Tskayev (81 kg) took silver, while Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg), Omer Rajabli (81 kg), and Murad Fatiyev (90 kg) all secured bronze medals.
