In the latest round of the Misli Premier League, Qarabag has climbed to the top of the table after defeating Imishli.
Football expert Aslan Karimov assessed the performance of the Agdam club at the start of the season and the adaptation process of the new signings in an interview with Offsideplus.az:
"I watched the game against Imishli, and my conclusion is that the Qarabag we are used to is still not on the pitch. The dynamics of the team that played in last season's Champions League are not evident. Regarding the adaptation of the new signings, certain difficulties were visible in the last match. Of course, the artificial pitch is also a significant factor.
The adaptation process is not yet complete. The Qarabag we know had already reached the highest level. There are noticeable shortcomings in the involvement of the wing-backs in attack, the midfielders' one-on-one battles, and in combinations.
Naturally, adaptation is an individual process for every footballer. It wouldn't be accurate to say that everyone will adapt at the same time. Some may need less time, while others may require more. For instance, Muaddib is a wing player and relies more on his individual skills, so he doesn't need as much time to adapt.
Recently, there have been sudden changes in 6-7 positions within Qarabag, with half of the team being renewed. In this regard, it is necessary to view the process as normal.
Let's see how it goes from here. At least Savon's ability to easily bypass Imishli's defenders gives hope that once fully fit, he will be a great asset to Qarabag."
