Tomorrow, the U-17 World Championship in wrestling will commence in Baku.

According to Offsideplus.az, the competition will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena, where the Greco-Roman wrestlers will first take to the mat. The draw for the tournament has already been held, and the first opponents of our representatives have been determined:

45 kg (Qualification): Ali Javadli – Ognian Burgazov (Bulgaria)

48 kg (Round of 16): Omer Salmanov – Avinash Chetake (India)

55 kg (Qualification): Gurban Mecnunov – Alikhan Minazarov (Kyrgyzstan)

60 kg (Qualification): Elmir Cherkezov – Nurali Askar (Kazakhstan)

65 kg (Qualification): Orkhan Habibli – Qaspar Sanchez (Czech Republic)

71 kg (Qualification): Nadir Hesenov – Mahdi Azizboyev (Tajikistan)

80 kg (Qualification): Isfahan Hesenov – Toma Yelench (Croatia)

92 kg (Qualification): Zohreb Safarov – Hlib Yevsieyev (Ukraine)

It should be noted that the preliminary matches of the championship will start at 10:30. The official opening ceremony of the competition will take place at 17:15, followed by the semi-final matches at 18:00.
