"Our Valdas always says that the most important thing is our game."
These were the words of Rahman Dashdamirov, defender for Sabah, in an interview with Offsideplus.az.
The 26-year-old defender shared his thoughts on the match:
"Our intention and goal is to participate in the league stage of the Champions League. We played very well. Our Valdas always says that the most important thing is our game, not the opponent's. If we can show our game, it won't matter who the opponent is. Thankfully, we played well and achieved a deserved victory. We didn't look down on anyone, but we believed in our strength."
When asked if he expected to score four goals in one half, the Azerbaijan national team member responded:
"To be honest, we didn't expect that. We made good use of our chances. The main thing was that we scored the first goal, and then the rest followed. Thankfully, we won. It's very pleasing to achieve victory in front of our people."
Dashdamirov compared the two matches:
"The away game was tougher. They had good fans and support, which gave them confidence. We also achieved a good result, and we weren't heavily defeated."
Regarding the next opponent, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, he said:
"I can't share my thoughts right now because the opponent is very good. God willing, we will analyse and prepare for them."
