The athlete, who has transferred to Neftchi basketball club, spoke about the move:

"They made an offer, and I accepted it. Everything happened that simply.

The adaptation to the team is going well. Almost everyone in the team is new, and we are working to get to know each other well."

Akberov also discussed future goals:

"First and foremost, we aim to progress through the qualifying round of the European League. After that, we will strive to achieve good results in the group stage. We want the best results in both the league and the cup, and we are working towards that."

It is worth noting that Neftchi has signed a contract with the 194 cm tall player until the end of the upcoming season.

The 24-year-old basketball player's last club was Ganja.
