"Our main goal is to perform successfully in the tournaments that Ganja participates in," said Elnur Jafarov, the director of Ganja basketball club, in a statement to the press.
The club official discussed the team's transfer plans and objectives: "Our team has made history in Azerbaijani basketball by being the first regional club to participate in European club competitions. This excites us greatly and also increases our responsibility. Unlike previous years, our team has started preparations earlier this season for this reason. Our new head coach is known and experienced, and we have begun to form the squad at his request. Our aim is to represent our city and club successfully both domestically and internationally. We are competing in international tournaments on behalf of our country, which is very proud. Therefore, we have organised our work at a professional level. The players proposed by the coaches are being evaluated, and selection work is underway.
Elnur Jafarov stated that caution is necessary regarding transfers: "I should mention that we already have agreements with local and foreign players. Our club's official social media pages regularly share updates and information about this.
Both our fans and media representatives are closely following our transfer market activities. In the coming days, more information will be provided about several players' transfers. We want to build a more competitive, stronger team."
