Azerbaijan's national wrestling teams will be provided with physiotherapists.

According to Offsideplus.az, this was announced by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.

Representatives from the Azerbaijan Sports Academy (ASA) also participated in the meeting held regarding this matter. The main topics of discussion included how to establish cooperation between coaches and physiotherapists, the role of practitioners in the training process, principles of operation, and the proper identification of expectations.

During the meeting, the involvement of young specialists in the training process of the national teams for the U-15, U-17, and U-20 age groups was emphasised, along with the enhancement of their theoretical and practical knowledge.

As part of the programme, students will benefit from the experience of their professional counterparts working with senior national teams. This project, implemented in collaboration with ASA, will ensure that for the first time, all age groups of the wrestling national teams are provided with physiotherapists.

It is noted that students who demonstrate activity and professionalism during the practical experience period are expected to be offered permanent positions in the future.
